Live 'Creative Industries Week' Panel Recording
You are invited to join a live-audience podcast recording, discussing employability and early-career advice for emerging artists & creatives.
Join us for this special edition of ArtyParti, recorded in front of a live audience (you). We’ll be hosting a panel to share advice about employability in the arts & creative industries. You’ll have the chance to pose questions to our creative collection, or to simply sit back and enjoy the conversation.
Please be aware; audio from this event will be captured and edited for the ArtyParti podcast. Audio from last year’s on-campus event is available to listen to here, so that you can get a taster of what to expect:

Show & Tell #6
Calling all artists & creatives in & around Sunderland!
We're hosting a live podcast recording, and we'd love for you to join us.
The recording will be themed like a 'Show and Tell' event, where you are invited to "step up to the microphone" and share more about your most recent projects / artworks.
Building on the success of our previous live-recorded podcast episodes, we want to keep developing a space where artists feel in safe company to share their work, and receive creative critique from other artists. A place to come together with other creatives for conversation, and to celebrate our practice.
Place: Port Independent
4 St. Thomas Street, Sunniside, Sunderland, SR1 1QD
Date: Thursday 20th November 2025
Time: 6pm - 9pm

Tickets are £5 + VAT - you can buy tickets on Eventbrite
or tickets are free for everyone who supports us on Patreon with $3+ a month or more

Two types of tickets:
Both ticket options now include the opportunity to bring a friend or peer as an 'audience member' free of charge, as a 'plus 1'.
"Bringing Art" - Select this ticket type if you would like to bring your artwork/projects to 'Show and Tell'. (Due to timings, this ticket type is capped at 8 artists total.)
"Audience" - Select this ticket type if you would prefer to purely listen, and take part in conversation, without bringing your own work.
ArtyParti's 10th Birthday Celebration
ArtyParti turns 10 years old this year!
That's a whole decade of bringing artists & creatives together for conversations about creative practice.
You are invited to join us at this free event to celebrate turning 10 years old!
Unlike our typical 'Show and Tell' and 'Sunderland Scratch' events, we're going to keep this really informal and chilled. A great opportunity to mingle and meet with other artists & creatives in the area - surrounded by the usual great vibes and excellent coffee / drinks of Port Independent.
Across the evening, we'll be giving out gifts to our 'Bestie' Patreon supporters, we'll have some shared canvases that we can collaborate on together, and we may even play some choice best clips from the past year of podcast episodes.

Place: Port Independent
4 St. Thomas Street, Sunniside, Sunderland, SR1 1QD
Date: Wednesday 17th December 2025
Time: 6pm - 9pm

Tickets are free for everyone!
However, donations are very much welcome if you're able to support ArtyParti.
Sunderland Scratch #7
Calling all scriptwriters & screenwriters in & around Sunderland!
ArtyParti presents 'Sunderland Scratch #6' - bringing together scriptwriters & screenwriters to test out scripts in progress.
Now onto our sixth scratch event, we were keen to see regular scratch nights make a return to Sunderland, and we've seen the invaluable insight events like these can offer to writers on their work in progress. Come and join us to help keep scratch nights like this thriving!
For Writers:
An opportunity to hear your writing read aloud (script in hand), and receive feedback on your scripts in progess. We're looking specifically for scripts for theatre, screen, and audio - for poets or spoken-word, we would recommend looking at Sunderland's monthly poetry & spoken-word night "King Ink".
Due to timings, writers' tickets are limited to 5 writers - this will allow us to work through everyone's scripts on the evening.
For Audience:
A chance to enjoy unheard and unseen writing at an early stage, written by local writers and performed by local performers. You'll have the opportunity to give feedback to the writers on their works in progress, whilst have fun meeting members of Sunderland's creative community in the process.
