ArtyParti proudly celebrates artists and creatives.
ArtyParti is a twice-monthly podcast, events series, and community platform that celebrates the work of artists and creatives.
Originally launched as a radio show in 2015, on the community radio station Spark in Sunderland (107fm), we have broadcast over 200 programmes.
Join us twice a month for new episodes.
Now an independent podcast, ArtyParti brings artists and creatives together to share about their projects & passions, promote events and exhibitions, and offer insight and advice on developing creative practice.
We’re proudly supported by our community through Patreon – your contributions help us keep the podcast going, support local artists, and grow our creative events. Every pledge makes a difference.
Alongside our podcast episodes, we are building an online directory of artists & creatives, where you can read more about the practice of people who have been involved in our episodes / joined us for our events.

We host monthly events at the cafe Port Independent in Sunderland - a relaxed, welcoming space where local artists & creatives can showcase their work, exchange feedback and best practice, and connect with others in the community.
Our upcoming events are below:
All ArtyParti events are free for our £3+ supporters on Patreon.
Sunderland Scratch #5
Calling all scriptwriters, screenwriters, & performers in & around Sunderland!
ArtyParti presents 'Sunderland Scratch #4' - bringing together scriptwriters, screenwriters, & performers to test out scripts in progress.
Now onto our fifth scratch event, we were keen to see regular scratch nights make a return to Sunderland, and we've seen the invaluable insight events like these can offer to writers on their work in progress. Come and join us to help keep scratch nights like this thriving!

Show & Tell #5
Calling all artists & creatives in & around Sunderland!
We're hosting a live podcast recording, and we'd love for you to join us.
The recording will be themed like a 'Show and Tell' event, where you are invited to "step up to the microphone" and share more about your most recent projects / artworks.
Building on the success of our previous live-recorded podcast episodes, we want to keep developing a space where artists feel in safe company to share their work, and receive creative critique from other artists. A place to come together with other creatives for conversation, and to celebrate our practice.

Celebration Events
ArtyParti’s series of “Celebration” events were made possible thanks to funding from the Arts Council England, and the National Lottery Heritage Fund, through the “Unlock” strand of Sunderland Culture’s Great Place scheme.
Sunderland was one of 16 pilot areas of the UK to benefit from the “Great Place Scheme” - which existed “to put arts, culture and heritage at the heart of communities”. Supporting ArtyParti is one way that Sunderland Culture fulfilled this initiative - and we are hugely grateful to their backing and support.
