About Laura Conlon
Laura Conlon is a Fine Artist who specialises in sculpture using familiar domestic objects from around the home. Her subject matter is the female figure and how it presents itself. Some of the materials used in making her sculptures are wood, banisters, mattresses, light bulbs, bread dough and so it goes on.
The sculptures are called the “Household Goddess” because of their sizes 5ft to 7ft, they are complimented with small mixed-media prints using oils, watercolours, chalks anything that makes a mark.
Acorns and Dragonflies
Earlier this year, Laura opened her crafting space “Acorns and Dragonflies” in Sunderland, sharing her crafting and arts in an exhibition/retail space.
