About Natsumi
Natsumi Jones is a Japanese artist working with glass and mixed media currently based in the UK. Her work explores time, nature, and customs through the fragility and ephemeral quality of the medium. Her work ranges from a small fragile object and lit installation to participatory art project. She often incorporates light as a component to give an immersive installation effect as well as embellishing the material with reflection and transmission.
Natsumi graduated from BA (Hons) Glass and Ceramics in 2018 from the University of Sunderland and awarded National Glass Centre Prize, as well as First Prize in the CGS New Graduate Review in 2018. Her work has been shown internationally in Japan, China, as well as in the UK.
